Checkatrade member, DBS checked, public liability cover on every job — and once the room is handed over, a twelve-month workmanship guarantee with aftercare behind it. Below is what each one is, and what it means while we are working in your garden.
Accreditations
Four things worth checking before a team spends weeks on your plot, and what each of them actually covers on a Hawksmoor job.

Trade membership
A trade membership standing behind the name. Every job ends the same way: a request for feedback on our Checkatrade profile, published exactly as it was written.
A garden room is a serious spend, so the opinions worth reading are from the people who have already paid for one.

Background checked
Background checks, because we are on site alongside your family for weeks at a time. A settled team of two or three does the lot, and it is the same two or three faces throughout.

Cover on every job
Public liability cover on every job. We set out, dig and lay the base ourselves and run the drainage away properly, so the plant that comes onto your garden is ours and it is covered.

The whole programme
Groundworks through to decorating is run in one programme by the same team, so one set of cover sits behind all of it rather than being shared out between trades.
Certified electrical and plumbing connections are left to the trades qualified to sign them off.
On site
A settled team of two or three does the lot: footings and drainage, flooring and decorating, and the landscaping that beds the room into the garden.
A text lands before every visit, and it is the same two or three faces throughout. We work a regular schedule, with early starts or weekends when the programme needs them.
Guarantees
Five commitments that start on handover day and carry on from there.
Insurance
Cover for the whole job rather than the building alone: footings, drainage, the shell, the interior fit-out and the landscaping that settles the room into the garden.
Workmanship
Twelve months from handover. If something needs easing or adjusting in the first year, we come back and sort it — doors settle, timber moves, and the first winter tests everything.
Handover
We clear the site and walk you round the finished room before we call it done. Floors laid, joinery fitted, walls decorated: move your furniture in and the job is finished.
Aftercare
Aftercare carries on past the twelve months. You can still ring the people who built it — call or text, and you get the same faces.
On paper
Accreditation, cover and the price all written down before anyone starts digging. The figure you sign off is the figure you pay.

The building is designed around its services and the ducting goes in during groundworks. Certified electrical and plumbing connections are left to the trades qualified to sign them off.
Spoil goes with us. No pallets stacked behind the hedge for weeks, and the ground around the room is made good, planted and swept before we hand over.
Exmoor National Park and the coastal parishes treat outbuildings differently from most places. We site and size the room with those limits in view, and say early when a formal check is worth making.
